Yanira Miranda

Yanira Miranda is a graduate student in the Department of Agro-Environmental Sciences with a major in Crop Protection at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. She received a bachelor degree in 2016 on Agronomy from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. She joined the ECaFSS Project in 2017 as a scholarship graduate student and mentored by Dr. Feliciano-Rivera. Her project has two principal objectives: 1) the evaluation of “minisetts” technique for the increase of disease-free seed of yam and 2) to scale-up the production of clean and healthy propagation material using tissue culture techniques.
