BioScience Summer Camp at PCUPR Ponce Campus

The 2019 BioScience Summer Camp received high school students from the southern region of Puerto Rico. Organized at the Biotechnology Center (CEIBA) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, high school students had a week long practical experience conducting experiments in topics such as: plant tissue culture techniques, plant DNA extraction, food testing for Salmonella, water testing for bacteria and introduction to bioinformatics. Students also visited agro-industries in the area.
