Dra. Laura Ramos Sepúlveda, Ph.D.

Dr. Laura Ramos, alumni of UPR Mayagüez visited our campus on March 14, 2019. In her Role Model Seminar Bacteria vs. Seta: bacterial blotch disease of mushrooms, Dr. Ramos explained the incidence of Pseudomonas sp. in commercial mushrooms and its economical impact to the industry. She also discussed the innovative work and research that looks for ways to prevent the disease. Dr. Ramos has a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from The Pennsylvania State University and currently is an Assistant Professor (General Biology, Mycology) at Millersville University in Pennsylvania.
