Thirty-two (32) high school students were enrolled in the BioScience summer camp sponsored by the ECaFSS Project and organized by Dr. Cariluz Santiago from Centro de Enseñanza e Investigación en Biología y Agrobiotecnología (CEIBA) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. Students acquired experiential learning related to biotechnology and were exposed to basic concepts in the application of modern techniques in agricultural settings. In addition, students visited the Agricultural Industrial Facility DuPont Pioneer in Salinas, Puerto Rico and Altol company in Ponce P.R.
