CAE and Design

Computer Aided Engineering is the discipline that deals with the set of computer programs that scan and simulate engineering designs made with the computer, or otherwise created and introduced into the computer, to assess their characteristics, properties, feasibility and profitability. Its purpose is to optimize its development and consistent manufacturing costs, and minimize the tests to obtain the desired product.

Design, in general, is the art of applying scientific knowledge in the management of basic, tangible and intangible elements of an object or structure in order to enhance their beauty or utility.
