Abstract:
During the first part of this seminar, professor Hernandez-Maldonado will present and discuss specific tools and strategies to help graduate students to cope with the challenges related to how to manage time effectively during thesis and dissertation work, and the coursework load. The second part of the talk will give an overview of important indicators and challenges pertaining to the peer-reviewed paper publishing process as well as possible strategies on how to deal with issues that arise during the process, including drafting, “writer’s block,” and revisions and rebuttals, among others. The talk will be also driven by brief open discussions related to the topics mentioned above and related ones.
