Approximately one hundred students attended the April 8th event with Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, graphic novelist and creator of La Borinqueña. Miranda-Rodriguez spoke about the inspiration and ongoing creation of his comic book series and welcomed questions from the audience. The event was organized for American Library Association National Library Week by the Oral History Lab (OHL), the UPRM General Library and the UPRM English Department in collaboration with PSCA – RUM, EDSA RUM, and RUM Linguists. Aproximadamente cien estudiantes asistieron al evento del 8 de abril con Edgardo Miranda-Rodríguez, novelista gráfico y creador de La Borinqueña. Miranda-Rodríguez habló sobre la inspiración y la creación continua de su serie de cómics y respondió a las preguntas del público. El evento fue organizado con motivo de la Semana Nacional de Bibliotecas de la American Library Association National Library Week por el Laboratorio de Historia Oral (OHL), la Biblioteca General del RUM y el Departamento de Inglés del RUM, en colaboración con PSCA – RUM, EDSA RUM, y RUM Linguists.
