Ph.D. Student in Bioengineering
Joined the lab: August 2024
Education:
- B.Sc. in Discrete Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics, University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras (2013-2020)
- M.Sc. in Bioengineering, University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez (2020-2024)
Research Interests:
Matrix-bound vesicles (MBVs) are a key focus in extracellular vesicle research, with an emphasis on their role in cell communication within the extracellular matrix (ECM). This project combines computational analysis and studies in proteomics and lipidomics to develop a tool for MBV characterization. As part of a broader investigation, potential studies on the spleen are also considered. By exploring the properties of MBVs, extracellular vesicles (EVs), and the ECM, the aim is to advance understanding of their role in cellular communication and contribute to innovative biomaterials research.
