Research Interests:

Hands-on chemist with 10+ years of experience in the rational design, synthesis, and characterization of coordination/organic/natural compounds for biomedical applications. Specialized in crystallization, polymorphisms, and development of therapeutic agents, such as curcumin derivatives/complexes, with tunable cytotoxic, antioxidant, and optical properties for cancer treatment and degenerated diseases (Alzheimer’s disease). With experience in constructing electrochemical biosensors capable of detecting specific biomarkers related to cardiac diseases, specific tissues in no human (liver, cartilage, endothelial, and heart pig), or in human samples (serum and saliva). Extensive experience in tissue decellularization and cell culture for the extraction of extracellular matrix (ECM), followed by its enzymatic digestion to isolate and purify extracellular vesicles (EVs). Skilled in the generation of EV-incorporated hydrogels and in investigating the anti-inflammatory, antifibrotic, and angiogenic properties of EVs.Creative and self-motivated individual with excellent communication, strong project reporting skills, and leading strategic initiatives.
