Tania del Mar López Marrero tiene un doctorado y maestría en Geografía de la Universidad del Estado de Pennsylvania y un bachillerato en Ciencias Ambientales de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, recinto de Río Piedras. Su investigación, labor creativa y docencia se centran en varios temas socioambientales, con particular interés en temas relacionados a amenazas naturales y desastres, manejo de recursos naturales y transformación del paisaje; temas de los cuales ha publicado extensivamente durante los últimos 25 años. Incorpora diferentes métodos y técnicas de investigación para llevar a cabo sus proyectos, entre estos: métodos mixtos, participativos y de análisis geográfico. Tania del Mar López Marrero has a Ph.D. and M.A. in Geography from Pennsylvania State University and a B.A. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. His research, creative work, and teaching focus on various socio-environmental issues, with particular interest in topics related to natural hazards and disasters, natural resource management, and landscape transformation, topics she has published extensively over the past 25 years. She incorporates different research methods and techniques to carry out her projects: mixed methods, participatory methods, and geographic analysis.
