The Recruitment, Retention, and Distance Engineering Education Project (R²DEEP) is an initiative within the Pre-Engineering Program that combines recruitment, training, and retention strategies aimed at improving the quantity and quality of the students applying, entering, and successfully completing the Academic programs offered in the College of Engineering.

Summer Camps

The College of Engineering of the University of Puerto Rico provides opportunities for high school students to participate in summer camps activities in order to get to know the engineering profession . During the summer , high school students will have the experience to know about our campus , our Faculty and our Academic Departments offerings .

Pre-Engineering

Grade 11 students learn about engineering disciplines and receive critical information to discern the difference between them . Activities include vocational guidance , adaptation to college life , workshops , visits to production centers and social activities.
