Chemical Engineering

Graduates of the Chemical Engineering program are expected within a few years to:

  1. Pursue careers as practicing chemical engineers in fields such as chemical, materials, energy and environment, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food processing, and consumer products.
  2. Pursue advanced studies in chemical engineering or a related technical discipline, medicine, law, or business, if desired.
  3. Succeed in their chosen career path, demonstrating high standards of professional and social responsibility.

Civil Engineering

Computer Engineering

Graduates from the Computer Engineering program will:

  1. Contribute to the educational, cultural, social, technological and economic development of their societies by applying, ethically, their knowledge and skills.
  2. Demonstrate professional competence, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit to excel in their chosen profession or to create their own businesses.
  3. Take advantage of the multicultural background and bilingual education to effectively participate and contribute in global markets.
  4. Pursue advanced studies, be involved in professional societies, and succeed in a constantly changing field.

Computer Sciences and Engineering

Graduates from the Computer Sciences and Engineering program will:

  1. Employ communication skills to inspire teams, influence decisions, and collaborate across the business, operational and technical dimensions of software projects.
  2. Apply technical and entrepreneurial skills to deliver software solutions for complex and real-world problems. 
  3. Demonstrate ethical integrity and uphold professional standards, making socially responsible decisions that serve local and global communities. 
  4. Continuously develop their professional competencies by self-directing their learning to integrate emerging technologies and industry trends into their engineering practice. 

Electrical Engineering

Graduates from the Electrical Engineering program will:

Industrial Engineering

The Program Educational Objectives of the Industrial Engineering undergraduate program establishes that few years after graduation, graduates of this program will accomplish the following:

  1. Be known as assertive, ethical, and independent critical thinkers.
  2. Make contributions to their organization based on experience that builds on their IE education.
  3. Adapt to changing needs in their profession.
  4. Be recognized as leaders in their organizations.

Mechanical Engineering

Based on the major program objectives, and after surveying our constituents, the following general skills and competencies are required of our graduates during the first five years after graduation. These skills and competency requirements constitute the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs):

  1. Graduates will be educated and cultured professionals capable of solving complex problems, communicating clearly with a range of audiences, and collaborating competently in a team. Graduates will have the potential to become leaders in their respective fields.​
  2. Graduates will competently apply engineering methods to solve professional problems associated with the design, manufacture, and maintenance of mechanical systems that contribute to technological and economic development and understand the social, ethical, and environmental context of their work.
  3. Graduates will exhibit robust critical thinking abilities essential for making sound engineering judgments in emerging fields. They will also demonstrate dedication to lifelong learning, equipping them to tackle the fast-evolving challenges within the profession.
