The UPRM Moonbuggy Engineering Team gives students hands-on experience in designing, manufacturing, testing, and optimizing a human-powered lunar rover for NASA’s Human Exploration Rover Challenge. The project integrates mechanical design, CAD, structural analysis, fabrication, powertrain, suspension, steering, and teamwork.

Colegio Racing Engineering is a multidisciplinary UPRM student team that designs and manufactures a Formula-style race car for international Formula SAE competition. Students gain hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical systems, aerodynamics, chassis design, vehicle dynamics, powertrain, electronics, manufacturing, and project development.

Students design, plan, build, and test timber structures while representing UPRM in the ASCE Timber-Strong Design Build competition.
