The College of Engineering at the University of Michigan continues to be ranked in the top 10 nationally in virtually all engineering disciplines and our Ph.D. programs are fully funded. This means all admitted Ph.D. students receive a guarantee of five full years of funding in their admissions offer letter (tuition, fees, health insurance, monthly living stipend, etc.). Students can apply for our Ph.D. programs directly after the completion of their bachelor’s degree. To encourage you to consider Michigan Engineering, we invite you to attend the Engineering Graduate Symposium for junior and senior level students.
The Engineering Graduate Symposium takes place on Friday, November 2, 2012. This event showcases our graduate student research with more than 250 engineering posters. Prospective graduate engineering students will have the opportunity to attend to view the posters, interact with graduate students, participate in admissions/funding workshops, listen to featured speakers, visit one engineering department of particular interest, experience social life on campus and see Ann Arbor.
To aid in this request some travel grants are available. Travel grants are for prospective Ph.D. students only. They cover the full cost of all expenses including airfare/mileage, hotels, meals and roundtrip airport transit from the Detroit Metro Airport. I encourage you to apply online if you have interest:
