PhD student María del Carmen Ramos Álamo presented her research at the 1st Symposium in Computer Science Research held at University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, where she received the Best Graduate Student Presentation Award.
Her talk highlighted the computational component of her PhD research, applying image analysis and machine learningto study fibroblast–myofibroblast differentiation, in collaboration with Dr. Michael Alvarez (UPR-RP).
