The Annual USDA, National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) National Principal Investigators meeting was held in Albuquerque, New Mexico during February 16-18th, 2017. The meeting hosted separate professional and student tracks where keynote speakers shared their experiences and had a whole day focused on Workforce Diversity and Career Opportunities for Current and Recent Graduates. Participating students had a  variety of activities focusing on professional development and those involved in research, presented their investigations during a poster session. USDA-NIFA funded projects also participated during the poster session, presenting the project’s objectives and achievements.
