Two groups of students from the agriculture specialized high school in Corozal Puerto Rico, Pablo de Burgos Marrero, visited the UPRM Agricultural Experimental substation in Corozal during May 14-15, 2018. The field trip consisted in a welcome message from Agro. Luis Almodovar, the station’s administrator, followed by a presentation on Food Security and Crop Production Systems of Starchy Products offered by Dr. Martha Giraldo, the station’s plant pathologist.  Students accompanied by their teacher Ms. Joanette Gonzalez learned about the mission of the Agricultural Sciences College of the UPRM and its Experimental Stations. Also, they visited the farinaceous collections and the greenhouses.
