It is with great pleasure we inform you that the Graduate Research and Innovation Center (GRIC) began offering its services on September 1, 2016. As part of the orientation activities, the GRIC invites you to their Open House, this Wednesday, November 2nd from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the GRIC facilities, located in the mezzanine of the south wing of the General Library (http://www.uprm.edu/library/tourvirtual/level1/).

GRIC is equipped with comfortable and rearrangeable furniture, collaborative spaces, dedicated WiFi, substantial amount of electrical outlets and a diverse range of technologies, all designed thinking of you, its users. Among other services, we offer consultation in: specialized information searches, citation managers such as Mendeley, plagiarism prevention, and in the development of data management plans. Also, the Graduate Writing Facilitators (GWF) provide peer tutoring in academic communication in English.

In order to gain access to GRIC, you will need to have your campus ID and the library account active. The registration form can be found here (http://unilib.uprm.edu/uhtbin/cgisirsi.exe/?ps=CcxA9GDyx8/GENLIBRARY/0/49) and once filled in you will need to stop by the Circulation Collection to finish the registration process. If you don’t have an account or you need to reactivate it, please visit the Circulation Collection (3rd floor, to the right) for further details. Your campus ID will then be activated within 24 hours after the registration process. Please note that GRIC is a food-free zone. We greatly appreciate your cooperation with this policy by maintaining GRIC free of any food or beverages.
