On Tuesday, October 27 at 10:30 am in Chardón 326, I will be offering a workshop for the Professional Graduate Honor Society titled “Applying to PhD Programs: Personal Statement and CV Workshop.”
Here is what you should bring to the workshop:
- Compile a list of universities you’d like to apply to, ranked in order of preference. Consider some of these.
- Bring a draft (or at least an outline) of a 500 word personal statement for your top choice for a graduate program. Here’s a good resource.
- Bring a draft of your Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Résumé. Here’s a model.
That’s it!
Attendees can simply show up, but this will be a hands-on workshop and discussion, so I advise being prepared to get the most out of it. See you on Tuesday!
