EDSA collaborated with TACU and La Cueva de Tarzan to host an ”Open Mic Night” as part of La Cueva de Tarzan’s 9th Anniversary Celebration. This event included poetry readings, music, stand-up comedy, improv, and live art (courtesy of TACU).
Open Mic Nights are great for students who are into writing and want to receive feedback, so many were first-timers who felt slightly anxious to have their work be exposed but were quickly comforted by the friendly atmosphere.
Despite minor setbacks such as the AC breaking down, people were happy to stay, as many were enthusiastic to perform and the rest wanted to watch. There was never a dull moment, with someone always being onstage, and enough energy to go around (though the coffee might have had something to do with that).
Congratulations to La Cueva de Tarzan for a great 9 years!
