Abstract:
Modem education requires our students to develop 21st-century problem-solving skills. This presentation offers an in-depth look at the integration of Computer Science and Computational Thinking at the primary and secondary education levels. Through a practical approach, we will discuss how gamification—highlighting the highly successful model of the Bebras Challenge—can motivate students and facilitate the leaming of complex concepts without the need for prior programming experience. We will analyze best practices for current curriculum integration and outline future goals at the school level. Additionally, the session will culminate in a collaborative brainstorming exercise designed to identify the current gaps and challenges educators face amidst the rapid advancement of Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence (Al) education.
