Students must take five courses (15 credits) to earn a Minor in Aerospace Engineering. Students can be from any of the Engineering Department from the College of Engineering.

  1. Students will be required to take two courses from Table 1.
  1. Students will choose three courses from the list provided in Table 2, preferably according to their discipline of interest. However, they will be allowed to take courses across disciplines to keep the multidisciplinary nature of the Minor.
  1. A course cannot be double counted as part of the requirements for a major and part of the minor, except the 12 credits that can be counted as free electives. As an example:
    • All students take six core course credits.
    • Students choose nine-course credits, preferably, according to their disciplines.
    • Students can use twelve-course credits for their free electives.
    • Take three-course credits above the student’s BS degree.
  1. If a student, uses any course towards his/her major concentration specialty, such course will not count for this minor.
  1. We plan on adding specialized aerospace courses as we hire new faculty in the field.
    • These courses will be added to Table 2.
    • Each new course should have proper codification to add it to the list.
