1. We plan to reach out to K–12 schools to promote knowledge in Aerospace Engineering and Unmanned Systems by taking students project exhibitions to schools around Puerto Rico and by inviting school students to the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, for Open House and student fair activities.
  1. K–12 school students can be invited for tours of the engineering facilities, including tours of the University Museum where the University will be able to do workshops, exhibitions (videos, posters and demonstrations), and K–12 students will have an opportunity to interact with college student peers.
  1. University student will give on-site school training and demonstrations to schools around Puerto Rico, leading to possible science fair projects and/or advanced research opportunities with high-schoolers. This will increase K–12 student interest in our engineering programs focused in Aerospace and Unmanned Systems.
  1. High-school students will be invited to participate in student competition events to increase their interest in engineering student competitions. Outreach efforts can be coordinated through student special project captains.
