The Office of Strategic Partnerships (OSP) at UPRM is the University’s destination for corporate partners seeking strategic collaborations with qualified personnel who materialize novel ideas and discoveries and transform them into commercial applications addressing their main needs.

We can help companies orient themselves within the university, find faculty and researchers with the expertise and capabilities required to tackle their organization’s most challenging problems. We can also help find faculty and programs of interest, arrange meetings on campus, facilitate funding applications, awards and reporting, and more.

We work with large and small companies, both domestic and international, seeking to form mutually beneficial alliances and sponsor innovative research efforts led by trained professionals through project management and technology production. We understand the main needs of corporate partners to connect them with UPRM faculty whose expertise and goals best align with those needs and support discussion and negotiation to launch new research projects and alliances.

Ways to Partner

  1. Sponsored Research. At UPRM, we provide support from proposal development to contract term negotiation and regulatory compliance assurance.
  2. Sponsored Fellowships. You can sponsor fellowships that align with the fellow’s research interests and career goals.
  3. Network Relationships. We facilitate and promote connections between individuals and organizations with similar research and collaboration interests and goals, providing ongoing support throughout the partnership process.
